GREEN THUMB AWARD

This has been discontinued for the 2025 yeah due to low involvement in 2024 (details from how it worked in the past years is still listed below for reference).  If you would like us to bring this back or have an idea to fill it's place please reach out to Sherri Hartman @ 317-997-9911, go on Facebook and message one of the admins, Kimberly Robling or Sherri Harman, on the Facebook page or go to the Contact page on www.vallevistahoa.org and fill out the form with any ideas you may have.  You are always welcome to join us at one the the monthly HOA meetings the first Tuesday of every month at Denny's at 7:00pm, as well!

Do you have a neighbor who maintains an outstanding property? The Valle Vista Home Owners Association would like to award two residences of ValleVista Subdivision who are members of the VVHOA for showing pride in their property. Nominations can be placed by posting on Nextdoor under the Valle Vista Green Thumb Award Nominations post, posting on the Valle Vista (South) Greenwood, IN Facebook page Green Thumb post and/or messaging the admins, posting on the Valle Vista Home Owners Association website at www.vallevistahoa.org, or contacting Sherri Hartman @ 317-997-9911 or Cheri Gardner @ 317-888- 5866. For nominations on the website, you can click on "contact" from the home page and fill in the requested info, putting "Green Thumb" in the subject line. Final judging will be conducted by three non-residents of Valle Vista Subdivision. Please visit the Valle Vista website for future details of the Green Thumb Award.

First prize and second prize winners will have a temporary Green Thumb Award sign placed in their yards for two weeks, at which time we will pick up the signs.

Properties that have been chosen as one of the finalists for the Valle Vista Home Owners Association (VVHOA) Green Thumb Award will be notified by mail. If a nominee is notified by mail but is not a VVHOA member, that nominee can still join the VVHOA immediately to be eligible for first or second place award.

Some of the criteria for the award: Is the grass maintained, bushes and shrubs trimmed, minimal weeds, exterior clean, walkways and driveways maintained, live flowers, clean curb, trees healthy and shaped, attractive exterior lighting, storage barns and large outside containers to be orderly and complimentary to its surroundings, and no abandoned vehicles, boats, and/or vehicles stored improperly on property.
